![]() ![]() We have chosen the most cost effective "bulk pack" to help keep costs down. Each round is visually inspected twice by the press operator for imperfections or blemishes, and again by another team member before final packaging. Our competition product is built and inspected by a single press operator, with quality being the focus of our production, not speed. Through extensive testing, the round has proven to be exceptionally accurate, dropping long distance steel poppers, with a hot barrel at the end of long stage. We can't control how fast you move or shoot, but we can build a round that will land on target, if you can get it there. The CZ should run 11# recoil and main spring.Īccuracy and speed are everything with competition shooting. Our best results for smoothest in the Sig X5, with 147 grain use a 12# recoil spring, for the 125 grain, use a 14# spring. We want your sights on target as fast as possible, so this too was a consideration as we moved forward. We tested for muzzle rise, for your quick follow up shot. We ran the ammunition in Sigs, Glocks, Staccatos, Nighthawk, Atlas and CZs. This results in extremely consistent performance. Our load testing has been extremely consistent, very the smallest performance deviations of any product we've ever built. We load with a stated power factor of 130. If you handle a lot of ammo, shoot, you know your blood lead levels are important to stay on top of. The Blue Bullets virtually eliminate lead fouling in the bore, and more importantly, the projectile being fully encased in polymer coating, significantly reduces airborne lead exposure to the competitor. We lab tested the ammo with core temperatures of 20☏ and 125☏, finding no measurable difference in velocity (range for testing was a static 68°/43% for the air density questions) and power factor. We found one powder that stood out, once we were happy with the performance, cleanliness and temperature stability. We also continue to test the product with a wide variety of test platforms.Ĭleanliness, we want your optics to stay clean and your field of view less obscured by smoke. We developed over 50 load varieties for testing and worked with 2 championship level competition shooters to continually refine the product and our processes. We found the dies that worked the best, leaving no dimples on the nose. They are producing the winningest projectiles in the USPSA circles nationwide. We started with Blue Bullets polymer coated projectiles, 125 and 147 grains, and the round nose style. We developed this product expressly for the competition shooter, who wants the best in performance, reliability, cleanliness and a significant reduction in lead exposure. ![]()
